Queens University

The Queen’s Sailing Team is CICSA’s largest sailing team, consisting of approximately 45 dinghy and keelboat sailors. The Queen’s Sailing Team is competitive in both the Canadian conference (CICSA) and American conference (MAISA, ICSA).  Recently, the team has been champions in dinghy fleet racing – National Champions 4 of 6 years since 2010; dinghy team racing – National Champions for 6 consecutive years, and keelboats in Canada – National Champions in 2015 and 2016, and World Champions in 2016. Queen’s finished their 2016 season on a high. Highlights include winning CICSA Team Racing Nationals for the 6th year in a row, placing 1st and 2nd at CAN/AM Cup, placing 4th at CICSA Fleet Racing Nationals, and winning the Student Yachting World Cup in Larochelle, France. Queen’s is the 2016 CICSA Team of the Year, along with both Male and Female Skippers of the Year being from Queen’s University. The team is looking forward to defending our National and World titles in the upcoming 2017 season.
